Projects

The main focus of my current research is the scholarly habits and information-seeking behavior of college students. I am the co-PI on the PSC-CUNY Grant-funded project The Scholarly Habits of Undergraduate Students at CUNY. As the member of the library faculty at City Tech with primary responsibility for our information literacy program, I appreciate the direct impact that this research has on my pedagogy and praxis. I also enjoy drawing on my background in Anthropology for this project.

My other major research interest is the pedagogical use of game-based and interactive technologies in higher education. I am a member of the Steering Committee of the CUNY Games Network. Specifically, I am exploring using game mechanics to teach research skills and information literacy competency in undergraduate library instruction.
